Born in RIO DE JANEIRO , Dan moved to the UK in 2003 to get away from scorching summers!

Having bristol as his Initial base and completing a BA (HONS) in MEDIA PRACTICE AT BRISTOL UWE, DAN TRAVELLED WITH HIS GRADUATION DOCUMENTARY FILM "AMBULANTES", WHICH WAS SCREENED AT numerous international festivals, including the renowned SHEFFIELD INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FESTIVAL, BRIEF ENCOUNTERS FESTIVAL IN BRISTOL, AND DIVERSITY IN PLACE FESTIVAL AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

AFTER A COUPLE OF YEARS WORKING FOR THE BBc as a junior researcher, DAN joined PHOTOGRAPHER's RANKIN (Dazed & Confused mag. and another magazine founder) team, WHERE HE HELPED CREATE AND SET-UP THE NEW RANKIN FILMS DEPARTMENT - shooting and directing FASHION FILMS, PROMOS AND BEHIND THE SCENES.

Having worked as a filmmaker alongside fashion photographers such as mert & marcus, and alasdair mclellan, dan started freelancing on commissions ranging from fashion films to short documentaries and commercial promos with a distinctive edge, for clients including VOGUE UK and U.S, H&m,RIVER ISLAND,EQUINOX, GIVENCHY, Topshop, La perla and galerie lafayette.
